Kerala style Fish curry with coconut milk using Salmon

Kerala style Salmon curry using coconut milk



This is super yummy fish curry using coconut milk. I have used Salmin in this particular recipe. You can use any fish. 


INGREDIENTS


Salmon 1 lb
Onion 1
Tomatoes 2
Coconut milk 1 can
ginger and garlic paste 1 teaspoon
Curry leaves 10
cumin powder (zeera) 1/2 teaspoon
Fenugreek powder ( methi) 1/2 teaspoon
red chilli powder 1/2 teaspoon
Turmeric powder 1/2 teaspoon
Coriander powder 1/2 teaspoon
Salt 
tamrind paste 1 Tablespoon
oil

METHOD


1. Fry finely chopped onion in oil till translucent on medium flame.
2. Add curry leaves , zeera and methi powder and fry for a minute. Add ginger garlic paste and fry 2 minutes.
3. Add chopped Tomatoes and fry while stirring another 3 minutes.
4. Now add turmeric powder , coriander powder, salt and red chilli powder.


5. Stir and cook till oil separates


6. Add fish pieces.


7. Soak tamarind paste in a cup of water and mix till tamrind dissolves. Add to gravy and bring to boil.


8. Add one can coconut milk and close the lid of pan and simmer the flame and cook for 10 minutes . 


Yummy and nutritious fish curry is ready. Enjoy with plain rice.
