ALFREDO SPAGHETTI WITH SHRIMPS AND MUSHROOMS


ALFREDO SPAGHETTI WITH SHRIMPS  AND MUSHROOMS

INGREDIENTS

spaghetti 32 oz

i used whole wheat spaghetti

Butter 1/2  cup ( 1 stick)

Milk 11/2 cup

Cream cheese 8 oz ( 1 pck)

Mushroom 8 oz chopped

Shrimps deveined and tail out 16 oz

basil leaves  1 tsp

Garlic cloves 3-4

salt

white pepper 1 teaspoon

METHOD

Alfedo sauce 

1. Melt butter and cream cheese together in a sauce pan . Keep stirring

2. Add milk and bring to boil. 

3. simmer and cook till creamy and then add salt,pepper and basil leaves and garlic



For Pasta


1. Boil spaghetti as per package instructions and keep it el dente. 

2. Drain spaghetti and preserve half cup water in a cup. 

3. In a pan stir fry  shrimps and mushrooms for 3-4 minutes separately.

4. Add mushrooms and shrimps to pasta.
5. Add the sauce to pasta and mix and cook for 3-5 minutes more. 

Yummy Alfredo Spaghetti with shrimps ready to relish.

Quick Recipe : Shrimp, Leek, and Spinach Pasta

Ingredients

3/4 
pound 
gemelli, fusilli, or other short pasta
tablespoons 
unsalted butter
leeks (white and light green parts only), halved lengthwise then crosswise
kosher salt and black pepper
pound 
peeled and deveined medium shrimp (raw)
• finely grated zest of 1 lemon
3/4 
cup 
heavy cream
10 
ounces 
baby spinach (about 12 cups)

Directions

  1. Cook the pasta according to the package directions; drain and return it to the pot.
  2. Meanwhile, heat the butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the leeks, ½ teaspoon salt, and ¼ teaspoon pepper and cook, stirring occasionally, until the leeks have softened, 3 to 5 minutes.
  3. Add the shrimp and lemon zest and cook, tossing frequently, until the shrimp is opaque throughout, 4 to 5 minutes more.
  4. Add the cream and ½ teaspoon salt to the pasta in the pot and cook over medium heat, stirring, until slightly thickened, 1 to 2 minutes. Add the shrimp mixture and the spinach and toss to combine.
